The incident occurred at Tienda Mi Barrio on Guess Rd on 9-16-18.
Officers were dispatched to a call at 1811 Guess Road at 12:09 a.m. on April 30, 2013. When they arrived, they found 41-year-old Kevin Ramon Leathers dead inside the house.
Leathers had been beaten to death and investigators are trying to determine a motive.
Durham police responded to a shooting call at 1212 Dawkins Street at 9:12 p.m. on Sunday, January 8, 2012.
When officers arrived, they found 1 male – Timothy Deangelo McGhee, 24, of 1212 Dawkins Street – dead inside the house. A 2nd male – Paul Anthony Noel Junior, 22, of Morreene Road – was taken to Duke University Hospital, where he died a short time later.
Both men died from gunshot wounds. An unknown suspect(s) fired shots into the house, according to investigators.
On May 21, 2005 at 1:59 a.m., officers responded to a 1-car traffic accident on Broad Street in front of the Oaks at Northgate Apartments.
The driver, 30-year-old Rayburn Antonio Demarcus Simms of Durham, had been shot in the side. He died a short time later.
Investigators believe Simms was shot on Leon Street near Broad Street and then drove approximately 2 blocks before his car ran off the road and down an embankment. His car – a green 2001 Chrysler Sebring – had several bullet holes in it.
Officers responded to a shooting call at 1014 Lancaster Street shortly before 10:30 p.m. on March 3, 1996.
Officers found Danny Dunlap, 25, of Durham lying in the driveway with a gunshot wound to his torso. He was taken to the hospital where he died a short time later.
Witnesses said a person got out of a vehicle and shot Dunlap.
