ARRESTED
The Durham Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance with locating a woman wanted in connection with the homicide that occurred on February 5.
Nicole Shaneece Greene, 48, of Durham is wanted for first degree murder and possession of a firearm by a felon in the murder of Gregory Newsome, 38, of Durham.
Officers were dispatched to a shooting near the intersection of Fay Street and Juniper Street shortly before 8:00 p.m., on February 5. When they arrived, officers located an adult male who had been shot. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
This shooting was not random.

Durham Police investigators are seeking public assistance in identifying the suspect in a bank robbery.
Shortly after 10:55 a.m., on February 8, 2023, officers were dispatched to a bank robbery call in the 2000 block of NC 54 Highway. When they arrived, they were notified that an adult male had robbed the bank.
The male left through the front door and fled the scene in a newer model silver or gray GMC Acadia with a North Carolina license plate. The suspect and vehicle were last seen traveling northbound on NC 55 Highway.

Investigators are attempting to identify this person was reported to have walked into two stores on New Hope Commons Drive and yelled he had a bomb before walking away. No bomb was displayed or located.

The first was on January 13 in the 1700 block of Northpointe Dr. The suspect was reported to have attempted to defraud a business, and assaulted an employee of the business. The second incident occurred on January 21 also in the 1700 block of Northpointe Dr. The individual is suspected of stealing approximately $1000 in power tools. Investigators say the suspect was described as being a black male wearing a black hoodie, black mask, and beige pants. They said the suspect has an external knee brace on his left knee as well as a small bag/satchel that was worn across his chest.
